About CAVS

Building a stronger, more connected Castle Point.

Castle Point Association of Voluntary Services (CAVS) is a not-for-profit charity that strengthens communities across Castle Point by supporting local organisations, residents and volunteers - all free of charge.

Founded in 1994, we provide practical advice, training and capacity-building support to voluntary and community groups, helping them develop their services and respond to local needs. We also connect residents with volunteering opportunities and offer guidance to individuals seeking support.

By working closely with local organisations, we help identify challenges early, share knowledge and build stronger, more resilient community services.

We bring groups together to network, collaborate and expand their reach, while also working with statutory partners to identify gaps in provision and develop support where it is needed most. Our free membership connects organisations to a growing, active and supportive local network.

Our projects are shaped by local need and focused on practical impact. Across Castle Point, we support young people, children and families, help reduce social isolation, and contribute to stronger health and wellbeing in the community.
